«Mobile development» - is a course created especially for children who are interested in programming without necessary any prior experience in it. It allows students to immerse themselves in the world of development through the creation of games and applications for smartphones with the operating system Android.
Using a graphical environment to create applications children will try taking on the role of designers, programmers and testers . Instead of a text-based development language, we use the MIT App Inventor visual environment MIT App Inventor, in which there are blocks with ready-made functions, which This increases the time for learning algorithms for creating programs and reduces the time for writing the application itself.
In parallel with the study of programming, children will learn new things about the sensors and memory of mobile devices, graphic images, methods of creating animations, file formats and methods of working with them as part of creating an application, and much more.
The course is well suited for children 9-14 y.o. It is a logical continuation of the course on studying the Scratch environment (knowing how to work with this program it will be easier to get involved in working with App Inventor), but it will also be accessiblefor those who have not yet encountered programming.
In the lessons, children will meet extraordinary tasks, learn to think more broadly, work in a team, analyze problems and look for the shortest ways to solve them. Students will create interesting games and useful applications that can easily be downloaded to their smartphone or recorded on a friend’s phone.
